NECSS 2017 – Northeast Conference on Science and Skepticism

Registration for NECSS 2017 is open!

NECSS is an annual conference designed to promote science and critical thinking. Through workshops, panel discussions, presentations, performances and social gatherings, attendees are educated and entertained by leading scientists, artists, and other intellectuals. NECSS takes place over four days in New York City and attracts hundreds of attendees from all over the world, and all walks of life.

Our keynote speaker this year will be former NASA astronaut and many-time guest star on “The Big Bang Theory,” Mike Massimino. We are also thrilled to have back at NECSS as a featured speaker the one and only James Randi! They will be joined by emcee Leighann Lord (comedian and co-host of StarTalk Radio).

NECSS 2017 will feature four full days of programming, including eight workshops on Thursday, June 29, and a full day of science-based medicine content on Friday, June 30. NECSS will also feature a number of after-hours events and performances, including:

• Thursday: Private taping of the Skeptics’ Guide to the Universe podcast

• Friday: “An Evening with James Randi”

• Saturday: Evening social reception for conference attendees and speakers
